Communication and knowledge transfer play an important role in disseminating and sharing the results of scientific research. To help research teams optimize their efforts in this area, we have compiled an idea box featuring over 50 classic and innovative activities.
Examples of activities included in the idea box
The idea box, in the form of a table, currently comprises six categories of activity (perhaps we’ll add a few more in the future?).
- Publications and writings : Newsletters, practice guides, policy notes
- Media distribution and campaigns Press releases, communication campaigns, public relations
- Audiovisual Podcasts, explanatory videos, augmented/virtual reality
- Design Computer graphics, comic strips, graphic facilitation
- Events and meetings Interactive workshops, science cafés, exhibitions
- Interaction and collaboration: Aboriginal sharing circles, communities of practice, discussion forums
For each proposed activity, the table provides :
- A brief definition
- An estimate of the financial cost
- Potential target audiences
A strategic tool for research planning
This idea box is intended as a practical guide to help research teams :
- Explore a wide variety of broadcast options
- Adapt their activities to the specific needs of their target audiences
- Estimate potential costs for better budget planning
- Maximize the impact of their communication and knowledge transfer efforts

Invitation to contribute
Do you have other ideas for innovative activities? We’d be delighted to hear from you. by form or e-mail([email protected]), to enrich this table, which we aim to transform into a collaborative resource. Using this table as a starting point, research teams can develop more effective and creative dissemination strategies, helping to bridge the gap between research and its practical application in society. If you found this post useful, please share it.
