The team at Banque Signature and at Centre Axel of the Centre de recherche de l'Institut universitaire en santé mentale de Montréal organized two symposia as part of the 90th Acfas Congress, held from May 8 to 12, 2023 in Montreal.
Both teams wanted to inform their research and innovation communities, the student body and the world of entrepreneurship about their respective symposia, and to pass on key information on the themes addressed.
The objectives were to create a series of visuals (banners, posters, carrousels, presentation slides).
We leveraged our combined expertise in the following areas:
It was important to clarify the specific objectives of the promotional material created, such as promoting the symposia, conveying key information and arousing the interest of the target audience. This helped guide the creation of the visuals and ensure that they met customer expectations.
At this stage, drafts and sketches were produced to explore different ideas and visual concepts. Drafts allow you to quickly visualize initial ideas and refine them later.
The visual identity chosen (colors, fonts, symbols) was that provided by Acfas. Once the concepts had been selected, the actual creation of the visuals could begin. This involved working with graphic design software (in this case Canva, Adobe Photoshop and InDesign).
The layout consisted in organizing the visual elements in a coherent and aesthetic way. The aim was to determine the layout of images, text, icons and other graphic elements to create a balanced and attractive composition.
Below are extracts from the material created.
It can't be said often enough: form counts as much as content! With their carefully-crafted visuals, the teams were able to promote their respective events in the right way. It's important to note that the design steps may vary depending on the project, the complexity of the visuals and the customer's specific requirements.
